History

SAE Power has a long history as both a major designer & manufacturer of electronics, magnetics, power products and EMI / RFI Filters. Our expertise in leading edge technology, end-to-end manufacturing, and quality & supply chain management, allows us to give our customers a competitive edge. With facilities in North America and Asia, we can ensure our customers a continuity of supply and the capacity to meet upside demand with cost effective, on time solutions.

Locations / Facilities

SAE Power corporate headquarters is located in Silicon Valley, California, with regional administrative and sales offices located in San Jose, Toronto & Hong Kong, along with manufacturing sites in Toronto, Canada and Dongguan, China.

Our Canadian facility occupies 50,000 square ft. of manufacturing space and employs approximately 100 people. This location is IATF, ISO9001, ISO9002 and AS 9100 D certified & approved, and is a Controlled Goods Program (ITAR compliant) registered facility. In addition, it is home to our North American advanced engineering team and design support services.

In operation for over 30 years, our Dongguan, China facility occupies 85,000 square ft. of manufacturing space and presently employs approximately 250 people. This location is ISO9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 & ISO 14001: 2015 approved, and certified capable of meeting all UL & CSA approvals. Our facility is proud to have been recognized with MKS Supplier Quality Awards for eight consecutive years (2015 – 2022) and Harman Becker A Grade Supplier Awards for 2015, 2016, 2018 & 2019.

Our Hong Kong administrative office interfaces with our other locations to provide the most cost competitive prices available, without compromising the high standards of quality required by customers.

Magnetics

Since offering its first transformer in 1963, SAE Power has continued expanding the product line to offer a full range of custom magnetic products and services from initial design to final production. SAE Power has gained a reputation for producing extremely high quality devices in high and low volumes while maintaining cost effectiveness.

Power Supplies

SAE Power has a broad line of high reliability, feature-rich switch mode power supplies. Both AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies are available in power ranges from 100 watts to 2,200 watts. With over 40 years of experience, SAE Power has a large collection of standard and custom power supply models. Many of these models have field-demonstrated reliability of more than 1,500,000 hours MTBF.

EMI/RFI FIlters

SAE Power is a major designer and manufacturer of high reliability, high performance EMI/RFI power line filters for computer, industrial, medical and telecommunication applications. Since the early 1970’s, SAE Power engineers have worked closely with customers designing solutions for difficult EMI/RFI noise problems. A complete line of standard single and three phase filters in current ranges from 1 to 60 amps is available. Also available are a multitude of custom mechanical and electrical versions, all with full international safety certifications.
