ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a harmonized international process-orientated Quality Management System automotive standard that combines the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, QS-9000 and several other international automotive requirements. ISO/TS 16949: 2002 was only recently presented by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF). It represents the efforts of a joint working group comprised of the IATF and the ISO Technical Committee (ISO/TC 176) as well as their subcommittees. This standard unites the quality requirements that exist worldwide, and is recognized by both American and European automobile industries.

SAE Power introduces the PF1200-4801, a 1200-watt hot-swap front end power supply that features extensive I2C-compatible monitoring and control.  The PF1200-4801 delivers 1200 Watts of 48V power over the entire Input Range (Universal / 90-264 VAC), making it ideal for networking and storage systems.

The I2C interface facilitates communications with host systems of key information including serial number, part number, place/date of manufacture, input voltage, output voltage/current, and alarms.  I2C Control functions include output voltage adjustment, unit enable/disable and fan override.   These supplies also provide a full complement of analog signals including 5VSB, Current Share, Remote Sense, Remote on/off, Voltage Adjust, Current Monitor, AC OK, DC Good and Fan Fail.

The PF1200-4801 power supply module measures only 10.25 x 4.83 x 1.60” and can be mounted in either 1U or 3U high configurations with microprocessor controlled internal ball bearing fans.   These products are qualified to international safety standards, bear the CE Mark, are RoHS Compliant and offer Class B emissions.   The PF1200-4801 offers an excellent combination of high quality and low price with reliability of more than 250k hours MTBF and is backed by a two year warranty.
